Reports and Briefs

Reports and briefs from the CSRC Press offer findings from research studies that are of interest to Chicana/o and Latina/o communities. Published in five series, they are free of charge and available as downloadable PDFs.

Latino Policy and Issues Brief

Each brief in this series contains a summary of recent research by CSRC-affiliated scholars in a concise four-page format. Each looks at a critical issue facing Chicano and Latino communities. Among the areas of study are K-12 and postsecondary education, hate speech, public health, and discrimination in commercial media.

CSRC Research Report

This series presents original research in greater depth than is possible in Latino Policy and Issues Briefs. Recent reports explore court rulings against discrimination and issues facing undocumented students.

CSRC Working Paper

The CSRC Working Paper series conveys the preliminary results of ongoing research at the CSRC.

Latinos and Economic Security Policy Brief

The financial security of the growing number of Latino retirees is the focus of these four-page briefs. The series is produced in collaboration with the UCLA Center for Policy Research on Aging and the USC Percy Andrus Gerontology Center, in partnership with the National Hispanic Council on Aging and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials.

Latinos and Economic Security Research Report

This series presents research summarized in Latinos and Economic Security Policy Briefs in greater depth. Each report examines a different aspect of the financial security of the growing number of Latino retirees, particularly the impact of social security.
