California Freedom Summer Youth Leadership Training

UC students and youth organizers are now preparing for California Freedom Summer at the CSRC.

Students in the University of California system who complete winter/spring coursework will be considered for a $5,000 stipend and summer research internship with a youth or community organizing group.

Students are currently learning about participatory action research, grassroots organizing, and non-partisan voter outreach in preparation for the summer conference.

This program is sponsored by the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center, Bunche Center for African-American Studies, American Indian Studies Center, and the Asian American Studies Center in collaboration with professors across the UC system.
