Talk: Mario A. Gómez Zamora Presents "Weaving Queer Indigenous Research Methodologies of Resistance and Dignity"

Mario A. Gómez Zamora, PhD, is a first-generation P’urhépecha and mestizo scholar whose work bridges queerness, migrations, memory, and Indigenous performance within Latinx and Latina American studies. As a UCLA Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow, he is developing his book project, Queer P’urhépecha Histories and Performances Beyond Borders, exploring cultural tensions faced by queer Indigenous communities. His scholarshop and poetry have been widely published, including award-winning work in Native American and Indigenous Studies.
