Conference: The Inaugural Afro-Isthmus Symposium

The Inaugural Afro-Isthmus Symposium will bring together scholars whose work seeks to bring visibility to people of African descent in Mexico and Central America as well to the Afro-Latinx experience in the US.

The program includes invited speakers and faculty from across campus, including the UCLA César E. Chávez Department of Chicana/o and Central American Studies and the Latin American Studies Program.

Lunch will be provided and a mixer will follow the symposium.
