Inaugural Sotheby Prize Exhibition to Include CSRC Archives

The Economist announced the 2018 Sotheby’s Prize winners, which provides funding for curators at small museums to develop their exhibition concepts. The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, one of the winners, will develop the exhibition Pop América: 1965-1975, curated by Esther Gabara, E. Blake Byrne associate professor of romance studies in the department of art, art history, and visual studies at Duke. The CSRC is a lender to this exhibition, which will open October 2018 at the McNay Art Museum and then move to the Nasher Museum. Gabara served on the advisory board for the exhibition La Raza, co-produced by the CSRC and on view at the Autry Museum of the American West through February 2019.
