MEDIA: “Smithsonian Spotlights Castillo Acquisition on Brochure”
The photograph ’47 Chevy in Wilmington, California (1972) by Oscar Castillo appears on the cover of the most current brochure for the Smithsonian Latino Center. The Smithsonian has acquired twelve photographs by the artist, most of which were featured in the CSRC-organized L.A. Xicano exhibitions Icons of the Invisible: Oscar Castillo and Mapping Another L.A.: The Chicano Art Movement.
