Panel: “Chicano Art in San Antonio”

Ruben Cordova, author of Con Safo: The Chicano Art Group and the Politics of South Texas (CSRC Press, 2011), will lead a panel discussion with Con Safo artists, followed by a book signing, at Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s Educational & Cultural Arts Center (the former Alameda) in San Antonio. The panel will explore aspects of Chicano art in San Antonio, from the founding of the Con Safo art group to the recent performances. The panelists will be Jesse Treviño, Felipe Reyes, Jose Esquivel, and Roland Briseño.
