Talk: CSRC Director Chon A. Noriega presents “‘Cornell on Trial’: The University and the Creative Arts, Revisited”
In 1993-94, CSRC director Chon A. Noriega was a visiting scholar at Cornell University in the Hispanic American Studies Program (now called Latino Studies Program), where he curated Revelaciones/Revelations: Hispanic Art of Evanescence, an art show that sparked the student protest that lead to the Day Hall Takeover and the creation of the Latino Living Center. He returns to the university to present a lecture based on that experience.
