Noriega is cited as among the curators who signed an open letter and petition demanding New York Times art critic Ken Johnson acknowledge racist and sexist language in his writings on the 2012 exhibitions Now Dig This! Art & Black Los Angeles and The Female Gaze: Women Artists Making Their World.
