Book Talk: Mario T. García in conversation with Rosalio Muñoz and Raul Ruiz

Join us for a presentation and signing by Mario T. García in celebration of his latest book, The Chicano Generation: Testimonios of the Movement (University of California Press, 2015), and a discussion regarding the historic Chicano Movement in Los Angeles. Joining García will be Rosalio Muñoz and Raul Ruiz, two key activists of the movement whose first-person accounts are featured in the book.

Books will be available for purchase at the event.

A reception featuring catering by Casa Blanca will follow the discussion.

MARIO T. GARCIA is a professor of Chicana and Chicano studies at UC Santa Barbara and author of The Latino Generation: Voices of the New America (U North Carolina Press, 2014).

All CSRC events are free and do not require an RSVP unless otherwise noted. Programs are subject to change. All-day parking and short-term parking (payable at pay stations) are available in Lots 2, 3 or 4 (enter the campus at Hilgard and Westholme avenues).
