CSRC Press Support

The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center Press is the oldest Chicano studies press in the country. It has an honorable tradition of publishing important, ground-breaking research and gave a start to many scholars who are now leaders in the field.

To deliver important books at a reasonable price to individuals, especially students, the press often chooses to sell books for less than their production cost. Since the press would like to expand its publishing efforts—bringing attention to many Latino artists and authors who are underrecognized—we are offering individual benefactors and institutional sponsors a chance to participate in the life of the press. By supporting the development of new book projects and getting the word out to all those interested in these important works, donors and sponsors will have an opportunity to support this historic press and memorialize loved ones in a unique way.

One of the ways to support the CRSC is by making a gift of $5,000 to sponsor a book for publication. Sponsorship includes name recognition on the opening page of the book as the donor chooses.

We also have opportunities to support the press through an imprint; that is, a series of books on a broad topic such as art or history. Sponsorship includes name recognition on the opening page of all the books in the series.
