CSRC Mailing Lists

The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center is one of the oldest and most active Latino research centers in the nation. Established in 1969, it has played a pivotal role in the development of scholarly research on the Chicano-Latino population, which now is the largest minority group and fastest growing population in the United States.

Those on our mailing lists receive--for free--our CSRC Newsletter (once a month), our widely cited Latino Policy & Issues Brief (twice a year), and the CSRC Research Report (twice a year). Our newsletter contains information about the center's events (including conferences, lectures, workshops, exhibitions, roundtables), opportunities (including fellowships, grants, research assistantships, and job openings), and activities (including recent publications from the press, recent acquisitions by the library, and collaborations with other research and community groups).

We send materials to you by both post and email. We never sell our mailing list, so you won't receive post from anyone but us. Emails are sent through a moderated electronic list, which means that you also won't receive emails from anyone but us. For instance, subscribers cannot send an e-mail to the list and have it reach other subscribers. It is also not a discussion list, so no e-mails will be forwarded to you from other organizations or individuals. The center will be the only message sender and we will not send you more an average of one email a week.

Any one interested in Chicano studies is welcome to subscribe to the list. Thousands around the country already do.
