Aztlan: A Journal of Chicano StudiesAny library with a Latino audience should consider subscribing to the journal of record in the field, still the premier journal after thirty-five years, Aztlán: A Journal of Chicano Studies (ISSN: 0005-2604). Two issues of 250-300 pages each, Aztlán is available for $195 a year (United States, Mexico, and foreign). This includes a print version and an online version. The online version provides access to every single issue ever published, dating back to 1970, over thirty-five years of some of the most important content in the field. You can order the journal through your subscription agent or send a purchase order to UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center, 193 Haines Hall, Los Angeles, California 90095-1544. The online version will be available starting September 15, 2006 through MetaPress journal hosting service, a subsidiary of EBSCO. All management of the journal will still be at the CSRC Press. Watch this space for an official link. Latino Policy and Issues BriefPrint copies of the Latino Policy and Issues Brief are available in bulk to organizations working on Latino issues. Just e-mail the press to set up the process. Print versions of the Latino Policy and Issues Brief are available to libraries by issue or subscription. The cost of each issue is $10; subscribers receive five copies of each brief. The series ISSN is 1543-2238. Chicano Cinema and Media Arts seriesDVDs in this series are available for the low, low list price of $49.99 per volume (plus $10 for institutions outside of the US). The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center is committed to providing access to these rare films at an affordable price for institutions as well as individuals. Since it is a series, libraries are also welcome to set up standing orders. Then, whenever a new film is released, we will send the DVD to you and bill you for that volume of the series. Institutional pricing for videos comes with limited public performance rights--that is, for non-commercial educational and public uses. If users charge admission, these are not included in the rights--the institution must have a prior agreement regarding a percentage of the revenue. This series (ISSN: 1557-5934) provides access to special collections, thereby stimulating new critical and historical research based on archival sources. A Ver: Revisioning Art History This series (ISSN: pending) foregrounds the work of individual Latino artists. Available to all for free online.
