Special Collections

Since its founding in 1969, the CSRC Library has been entrusted with donations from many individuals and Chicana/o and Latina/o community and labor organizations. In order to process existing collections, develop finding aids, and create a pipeline for new acquisitions, CSRC director Chon A. Noriega hired the library's first archivist in January 2003. The archivist established the foundation for a Chicano Studies Archive Program, which the CSRC continues to build upon.
