Join us for the “1st Annual Central American Studies Symposium at UCLA!” This student-led symposium aims to spark critical dialogue on the importance of Central American Studies, particularly within the current political climate. The symposium will include keynote addresses by UCLA professors Cecilia Menjívar and Leisy Ábrego, and research presentations by UCLA undergraduate and graduate students.

This event is organized by Unión Centroamericana de UCLA, and co-sponsored by the UCLA Latin American Institute, the Central American Studies Working Group de UCLA, and the Chicano Studies Research Center.

This event is free and open to the public.
